The MUA - who has seen my YouTube videos (cringe!) - said "You're on the ball again" - yes, my friend, I most certainly am! I was also the only customer looking at the new displays which was a suprise.
I looked very briefly at Naked Honey but nothing, other than the gorgeous promo image, grabbed me.
So for this visit I foccussed on Color Craft.
In theory Color Craft is the kind of collection that makes me spend crazy amounts of money. It has MSFs, pretty pink lipsticks, shimmery eyeshadows and even a full range of blush.
Maybe a year ago I would have marched in there and declared: "Bag it all up for me please"...now I am a little more sensible. This is partly because:
a) Although I want to keep buying makeup I don't want my makeup stash to get any bigger than what you saw in the Makeup collection video - that means sell a chunk and buy a little; and
b) I know that I should only buy things that I am actually going to use.
For those reasons, I picked up four items and I am happy with all of them so far...
1) 226 brush - Who would of thought that it was possible to get excited about a brush? Well I CANNOT WAIT to play with this. For once I am thankful about a re-promote.
2) Daft Pink blush - it's a pretty blend of pink, plum and gold but to be honest there is more shimmer than pigment. I confess that I love MAC's mineralize blushes though - perhaps even more than the MSFs - eek!
3) Cheeky Bronze MSF - This is more of a peachy-bronze glow giver and that glow comes mostly from shimmer. However, I liked the subtle warm sheen it gave and as a rule I prefer MAC's warmer, bronzey MSFs to any others - ie, Refined, Shooting Star (I love you Shooting Star), Global Glow and So Ceylon for example. The other's just didn't grab me - definitely pretty but not essential. (As if this was essential...anyway)
4) Color crafted lipstick - The hype got me to buy this one but I am glad I am so easily swayed. It's super pretty, the kind of lipstick I will instantly start wearing everyday and it is, as everyone has says, Saint Germain's more wearable cousin.
And that's all...for now.
I say for now because I keep hearing everyone rave about the Honey Salve and when people rave, I want. So tell me - is it really worth getting?
What did you all think of Color Craft?

The honey salve is nice, but in my opinion it's not worth the money. I say this after I ordered two based ONLY on the hype (and the 25% sale online). I get as much moisture (possibly much more) from MANY other items. So...no, you don't need it. :)
color craft was meh for me too. I got cheeky bronze, odd bits e/s, and 226 brush. I'm like you, more excited about the brush than the rest of products :-P now I may have to re-look at the lipstick, it looks very pretty on you. I also have saint germain but I don't like the fact that I have to work a little to make it looks right on me.
If you like So Ceylon, did you swatch Sunny by Nature? Its better when applied on the face than a swatch on your hand.
Its the only one that is matte and not a ton of shimmer.
I dont think the honey salve is a must buy. Its something you can pass for an MSF!!:P
I really enjoyed this collection, although my wallet may admit otherwise!
I got daft pink and fad-dabulous which is a nice coral-plummy color on me. I also picked up sunny by nature, boring maybe, but I found it to be a nice warming color on me!
Did you think it is at all similar to your so ceylon? Never got a chance to see this one but I remember you raving about it!
And while I thought I was done I may just have to go back and try on CC l/s.. :-X
ohhh mac.
I just did a post on the salve.. i got 3! It is amazing!!
Its replaced my by terry as its longer lasting..You literally can taste it for hours and less greasy!!
@Jessica - i thought that maybe it was a better smelling Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream :) Thank you for your comment - that makes me feel better ;)
@Kat - odd bits seems to be the shadow to get!!! The brush looks amazing - i cant wait to play :)
@Nitu - yeah i need to have a closer look at Sunny by Nature. Plus it does have a great name :) haha
@Tali - oh no now why did you have to say that? :) I reallly want it now. I cannot believe that i am nearly out my by terry. I love that product but it does not last that long!
@Happiness Sparkles - I have definitely heard people compare that to So Ceylon. I love So Ceylon soo much. Its the perfect summer plummy bronze product for me but I know alot of people find it too dark. And yes, CC is a pretty lipstick that you are bound to love :) think of it as your summer lippie :)
Nice purchases! Yeah I wasn't really crazy about this collection..I picked up the Colour Crafted l/s also & the 131 brush. I already have the 226 and it is probably the best brush ever!!!
I am not very big on blush, but I am interested in the collection, which msf do u think would be a great product? :D
it is still yet to come out in Australia (3 Aug) but thanks for showing how some MSF looks like.. you're a gem and about the naked honey skin salve? i got yesterday and all i am doing this lunch is get a back up!!! ALAVIT! :)

Hi Laura! Great haul! I can't wait for a FOTD w/ Cheeky Bronze!
I don't think the Honey Salve is worth it. 1oz for $28? That's insane! you are MUCH better off with Egyptian Magic, which is mostly olive oil and honey. It's $30 for 4 oz!! I love it and strongly recommend it!
the eye shadows are HORRIBLY pigmented. I so regret buying them:(
i too love the honey salve--it lasts sooo long (overnight, to be exact). i think i'm going to grab some backups, because the taste is really nice and sweet, and that's more than i can say for a lot of products marked salve.
Hi Laura,
Love the modest Haul, my sister and I decided to go with the 226 (love this brush) , daft pink, improvise, and hand finish, - a bit like moon river but more pigmented. It is also the baby of porcelain pink MSF! We also got Cheeky Bronze, so glad we thought alike in terms of what MSFs to get. The MA used it on me as a bronzer and it came out very lovely. :)
Still need to get So Ceylon.
I really need to look further at CC l/s bc I can't pull off Saint Germaine and feel left out! LOL I liked some of the lipsticks and would really like to get the 226 but if I skip this collection I don't think I'll die or anything:)
Of course, the more I think about the more I want to go out and purchase some of the lippies;)
The salve is tasty, aromatic, petrolatum on steroids, and has enough product in it it to last you a lifetime. =)
So far I have managed to avoid these 2 collections but now I want that brush lol:)
Colour Craft is the collection I have been waiting for, so I did splash, but got only 4 things :-)
Eccentricity e/s, Make With Love l/s, Nice Mix Up l/g, and Smooth Merge MSF.
All v pretty. I'm wearing the MSF and Lipstick today :-)
I was interested in the e/s quads but I read many reviews on them saying they do a tonne of fallout... So I skip this collection and will wait for the winter sale to see if they are some stuffes left. I will then probably buy some. :)
Wow i now want to buy those 4!!
I really wanted the cheeky bronze but is it too glittery?
I am the same with the honey salve. I have no intentions on buying it but the more people talk about it, the more i'm swayed.
i have managed to avoid temptation at the moment, however your cheeky bronze looks beautiful! I have decided that my 18 msfs are enough for now, how many subtley different shades of shimmer can one girl need!
I really loved the modest haul x) I didn't like the honey collection either, it was too simple, nothing new.
Any chance you will do another blog sale? I missed the last one ):
I'm not really feeling mac's latest collections....
i love that blush though!
PULEASE do a FOTD with these products, especially the lipstick! i would love to see how it looks on you! :)
My favorites from the collection are Cheeky Bronze, Sunny By Nature, and Fad-Dabulous. And all 3 combined make a gorgeous combo. Fad-Dabulous is one that pairs really nicely with bronzer (awesome in the summer). So far I'm in love with all of them! All really pigmented too!
I'm not at all impressed with the eyeshadows. I easily could have done without them! And the Honey Salve feels and smells nice, but I can't justify spending the money quite yet for what little product you get. It's tempting though!!
Does it launch on a different day in London? I ask because I visited a MAC in Brighton on Friday 10th and they already had it. How odd lol.
I bought 2 of the lipglasses, the 109 brush (mine sheds like anything!) and the Smooth Merge MSF...but I have since decided that the Triple Fusion MSF was the way to go for my skin tone so it looks like I might end up adding to my mini haul!
Hi Laura, guess what? U are featured on my blogsite www.thefaccouture.blogspot.com and I must say i really love ur videos and they r really helpful! I truly admire ur dedication in doing all these and hope you can join me at my blog too! Thanks and hope to do a swap with you someday!
i got porcelain pink, smooth merge (LOVE), daft pink and hand-fnished which is quiet sheer...
and i got colour crafted lipstick as well...which i also love...
I saw the Color crafted lipstick in your video... yeah... I
want it...
You were so restrained- well done :) I wasnt so restrained.... but Im happy with all that I got it! esp the colour craft lipstick- I was lucky enough to get a back up! So pretty xx
